The ASB Ortsverband Löbau e. V. is the local branch of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund, a German welfare and aid organisation founded in 1990. It runs ambulant care and day-care services for older people, care homes (Seniorenpflegeheime) in and around Löbau, Obercunnersdorf, Leutersdorf, Ebersdorf, Herrnhut and Cunewalde, and home emergency and mobility services such as a disability transport service and meal delivery. Its volunteer Schnell-Einsatz-Gruppe (SEG) provides first aid and medical standby at events, and it offers first-aid courses and a school first-aid programme. The Wünschewagen project, run in Saxony with the ASB regional association in Leipzig, takes seriously ill people to a wish destination, funded entirely by donations. The branch also trains its own care, kitchen and administrative staff and works with schools, universities and health insurers. It serves the Löbau and Bautzen area in the Oberlausitz region of Saxony, Germany.
