ASH Rescue Centre

Founded in 2012, ASH Rescue Centre is a charity based in Dartmouth, United Kingdom working on animal welfare, nature & wildlife conservation, environment & climate.

ASH Rescue Centre is a charity based at Ash Tree Farm near Dartmouth, Devon. It gives permanent homes to elderly rescue horses, who live in herds and act as conservation grazers on a 100-acre site of wildflower meadows, ponds, woodland and native hedgerows. The centre also rehabilitates injured and sick wild animals referred by vets, the RSPCA and other wildlife rescues, with the aim of releasing them back into the wild. It runs volunteer opportunities, including referrals from GPs and care providers, and community engagement on animal care and conservation. Income comes from donations, sponsorship and events hosted at the site, including a licensed venue and a charity shop. The centre follows a One Welfare approach that links the welfare of animals, people and the environment.
