Asociación Latinoamericana de Nefrología Pediátrica

Founded in 1981, Asociación Latinoamericana de Nefrología Pediátrica is a non-profit association based in Providencia, Chile working on health, science & research, education.

The Asociación Latinoamericana de Nefrología Pediátrica (ALANEPE) is a non-profit scientific association of paediatric nephrology professionals in Latin America. It was founded officially in Buenos Aires in 1981 and is legally constituted in Chile as the Fundación Latinoamericana de Nefrología Pediátrica. Its mission is to advance paediatric nephrology in the region through professional networking, education and research, knowledge dissemination, collaboration with other scientific bodies, and training of qualified professionals, with the aim of improving children's kidney health. Activities include organising Latin American and international congresses, publishing the journal Archivos Latinoamericanos de Nefrología Pediátrica, and maintaining the Latin American Paediatric Kidney Transplant Registry. An Executive Permanent Office operates in Santiago de Chile.
