The AWO Kreisverband Wesel e.V. is a non-profit welfare association and member organisation of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) in the Kreis Wesel district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Founded in 1975 following the municipal reorganisation of the district, it operates more than 100 facilities and projects across the region. Its services include child and youth welfare, daycare centres for children and family centres, early support for families, family education, counselling on pregnancy and sexuality, domestic and sexual violence support, outpatient and inpatient nursing care for older people, supported living for people with disabilities, rehabilitation services, support for homeless people, addiction care, legal and social counselling, legal care arrangements, education courses, and leisure activities. The association is organised through local branches (Ortsvereine and AWO-Treffs), with elected bodies including a Kreiskonferenz, Präsidium and Kreisvorstand. It is recognised as a tax-exempt charity, holds ISO 9001 and AZAV certifications, and is part of the local AG Wohlfahrt, the working group of welfare associations in the Kreis Wesel.
