The Baptista Szeretetszolgálat Alapítvány is a Hungarian charity founded in 1996 by the Hungarian Baptist Church. It is one of Hungary's largest aid organisations and runs social, educational and child-care institutions, reaching around 30,000 people daily. Its work covers humanitarian aid and disaster relief, refugee assistance on the Hungarian-Ukrainian border at Tiszabecs, food rescue and distribution to families in need, a children's hospice, anti-trafficking and victim support services, and support for people with disabilities, the homeless and Roma communities. It also runs international projects in several countries, including Nepal, Venezuela, Colombia and the Philippines, and sends aid convoys to Transcarpathia in Ukraine. The organisation is a registered public-benefit body funded mainly by private donations and 1% personal income tax designations.
