Founded in 2000 out of a Bielefeld childcare project, it provides after-school supervision, homework help, creative, sport and leisure activities and meals, and employs a school-based care coordinator at each site. It is a recognised youth welfare provider and a member of the Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband. Its work focuses on supporting the physical, emotional and intellectual health of children and young people. Its head office is in Bielefeld, with sites across NRW.
