The organisation provides options, resources and referrals to pet owners facing financial or other hardship, including access to affordable veterinary care such as spay/neuter, pet food and supplies, dog training, and help with landlord issues and shelter redemption fees. It works through a network of local veterinarians, animal welfare groups, human service agencies and businesses, and runs pet wellness clinics and pet event days. Services are focused on specific Los Angeles zip codes. Support is offered by phone, text and email, with inquiries answered within 72 hours on weekdays. The organisation aims to reduce animal shelter intake and keep pets safe, healthy and housed.
