Bibelselskapet, legally Stiftelsen Det Norske Bibelselskap, is a Norwegian foundation founded in 1816. It translates, publishes and distributes the Bible in Bokmål, Nynorsk and Sami languages, and promotes Bible use in Norway. Internationally, it works with De forente bibelselskaper to fund Bible translation, distribution and related projects, including trauma healing and educational programmes, in around 39 countries in 2026. Its publishing arm, Verbum forlag, also issues non-fiction on culture, language, faith and values. The organisation runs a bookshop and an online Bible service, and offers free educational material for schools and churches. Its head office is in Oslo.
