Bikes4Ukraine

Founded in 2022, Bikes4Ukraine is a non-profit association based in Frederiksberg, Denmark working on humanitarian aid & disaster relief, refugees & migration.

Bikes4Ukraine is a Danish non-profit association founded in Copenhagen in 2022 by urbanist Mikael Colville-Andersen. It sources used bikes mainly in Denmark and other European cities, including Berlin, Ghent and Budapest, and ships them to Ukraine. The bikes are distributed through a network of Ukrainian NGOs, social workers and the City of Lviv to internally displaced people, refugees and residents in rural and urban areas affected by war, helping them reach food, medicine, medical care, schools and jobs. The organisation is funded through crowdfunding and donations, and reports having delivered around 1,250 bikes to more than 30 cities and towns in Ukraine. Its costs cover shipping, logistics, transport, administration and travel to Ukraine.
