It promotes informed consent as the norm in maternity care, publishes opinion pieces on obstetric care, runs a conference on pregnancy and birth (FødselsFestivalen), and helps women and families file complaints about their treatment. Membership fees and donations fund its work. The organisation is based in Geithus, Norway.
