BunterBund is an independent, non-profit association based in Vienna that works across Austria for LGBTQIA employees and allies in the federal public service. It provides counselling and a point of contact on LGBTQIA topics for staff and organisations in the federal administration, runs awareness and competence-building work on LGBTQIA issues, and organises networking meetings, lectures, museum visits and social and cultural events. Its aims include a discrimination-free workplace, greater visibility of LGBTQIA staff, and exchange with like-minded organisations. The association is registered as a public-benefit (gemeinnützig) association and membership fees are tax-deductible.
