Candid Foundation

Founded in 2014, Candid Foundation is a think tank based in Berlin, Germany working on peace & conflict, democracy & civil society.

The Candid Foundation is an independent non-profit think-and-do-tank based in Berlin, Germany, founded in 2014. It works on media and mediation, intercultural understanding and dialogue, and international development, with a regional focus on the Middle East, North Africa, Africa, Asia and the Mediterranean. Its work includes projects with partners across the MENA region and Europe, research, policy advice to international institutions and policy-makers, and a programme of conferences and cultural events. It also hosted a 2024 Berlin dialogue meeting on climate change, peace and security ahead of COP29.
