Cáritas La Guaira

Cáritas La Guaira is a faith-based organisation based in Macuto, Venezuela working on humanitarian aid & disaster relief, community development.

Cáritas La Guaira is the social work body of the Catholic Diocese of La Guaira in Venezuela. It serves vulnerable people across the diocese's parishes in La Guaira state. Following the 24 June earthquakes, it coordinates the humanitarian response from the diocesan Curia, operating six donation collection centres at parishes. It receives and distributes food, drinking water, medicines and hygiene supplies, and accompanies affected families and communities. Its stated immediate goal is to address the humanitarian crisis over the following 30 to 60 days, then move to health and recovery work. Donations can be made in bolívares or euros, and the organisation also publishes updates on Instagram.
