About
Founded in 2014, CEHRI is a non-profit association based in Vienna, Austria working on human rights, justice & legal aid, mental health.
CEHRI (The Centre for the Enforcement of Human Rights International) is a non-profit registered association founded in 2014 and based in Vienna, Austria. It works to enforce human rights through strategic litigation, bringing cases on international crimes and severe human rights violations before domestic courts, European courts and international tribunals. It supports selected individuals and groups whose cases can improve the wider human rights situation, and generally does not provide individual legal representation unless the case is likely to have broader societal impact. Its victim-centred model combines legal support with psychosocial support, aiming to minimise retraumatisation and promote therapeutic justice. CEHRI also works on evidence documentation, following the Istanbul Protocol, and capacity building with a network of local partners.
