The Centre des Arts du Récit is a non-profit association based at the Théâtre Prémol in Grenoble. It serves as a resource and expertise centre for the spoken and oral arts, supporting storytellers, artists and audiences of all ages, including families, amateurs, professionals in education, libraries and social sectors. It runs the annual Festival des Arts du Récit, a programme of performances, training, workshops and cultural education, and works to professionalise storytelling and promote oral literature as an artistic discipline. The Centre operates across Grenoble, the Isère department, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and the French-speaking world, and is funded by public bodies, membership and donations.
