Centro Simon Wiesenthal Latinoamérica is the Latin American office of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Jewish international human rights organisation. Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, it works to apply the lessons of the Holocaust to strengthen democracy, promote coexistence in diversity, and confront racism, discrimination, xenophobia, antisemitism and terrorism. Its activities include advocating for the adoption of the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism by public and private bodies in Latin America, monitoring and denouncing hate speech online, publishing an annual report on online hate and cyberterrorism, running educational exhibitions and training for institutions, and pursuing justice cases such as extradition proceedings against individuals responsible for Holocaust crimes and crimes against humanity. It also runs a sports programme against racism and discrimination.
