Children Mission

Founded in 1999, Children Mission is a non-governmental organisation based in Kyiv, Ukraine working on children & youth, mental health, education.

Children Mission is a faith-based Ukrainian NGO founded in 1999. It trains adults, including children's workers, parents, teachers, volunteers and community leaders, to provide trauma-informed emotional and spiritual support for children affected by war. Its main programmes are the OpSAFE Trauma Care Program, emotional healing courses and foundational courses for children's workers, delivered through online, hybrid and in-person formats. Training is accredited with ECTS credits. The organisation follows a cascading model in which it trains trainers who then equip others. Since 2022 it has focused exclusively on Ukraine, working with schools, children's learning centres, churches, NGOs and community organisations across the country, and it reports having trained almost 9,000 adults across all 25 regions of Ukraine. It is funded mainly by individual and church donations, grants and partner support.
