City of Women

City of Women is a non-profit association based in Ljubljana, Slovenia working on arts & culture, gender equality.

City of Women (Mesto žensk) is a Ljubljana-based association that promotes women in culture. It runs the International Festival of Contemporary Arts Mesto žensk, held every October since 1995 at various venues in Ljubljana and across Slovenia. The festival presents feminist artistic practices, highlights gender discrimination in art and culture, and works to improve working conditions for women in these fields. It also hosts a library, cultural education programmes, open calls for artists and researchers, and accepts donations to support its activities.
