The Community Foundation of Nevada County is a public charity serving Western Nevada County, California. It connects donors, resources and ideas to support health, well-being and community development across towns including Nevada City, Grass Valley, Penn Valley and North San Juan. It manages philanthropic funds and endowments, including donor-advised and agency endowment funds, accepts a range of assets and bequests, and distributes grants from invested earnings. Through its Center for Nonprofit Leadership, it supports local nonprofits with training, advocacy and fiscal sponsorship. The foundation received its 501 designation in 2023, formed its first Board of Directors, and is building a perpetual grantmaking asset. It also administers the Nevada County Relief Fund in partnership with the County.
