About
Founded in 1959, Concord Land Conservation Trust is a non-profit association based in Concord, United States working on nature & wildlife conservation, environment & climate.
The Concord Land Conservation Trust is a private, non-profit land trust based in Concord, Massachusetts, founded in 1959. It works to conserve Concord's woods, meadows, fields, rivers and natural habitat by acquiring land and conservation restrictions, which are held permanently. The Trust owns or holds restrictions on roughly 1,000 acres, all open to the public with managed trails, and carries out stewardship such as trail maintenance, invasive species control, restoration and pollinator planting. It is membership-based, relies on volunteers and donors, leases farmland for local agriculture, and runs public walks, workshops and citizen science activities. An affiliate, the Concord Open Land Foundation, was founded in 1988 to handle conservation transactions where land may later be sold or swapped.
