It publishes independent reviews of food, consumer durables, and financial and banking services, runs a legal help desk for consumers, and conducts comparative product testing. Its campaigns cover areas such as food labelling, sustainable consumption, road safety, digital consumer protection, and health issues including tobacco, alcohol and hypertension. It represents consumers before policy-makers, the judiciary and regulators, and has been supported by India's Ministry of Consumer Affairs and selected by the RBI for consumer education on online banking risks.
