About
Founded in 2006, Curvy Girls is a charity based in United States working on health, mental health, children & youth.
Curvy Girls is an international network of peer-led support groups for girls with scoliosis, mostly teens. Founded in 2006 by Leah Stoltz, the network runs local in-person chapters led by teen girls and supported by adult mentors, aiming to reduce the emotional impact of scoliosis through education, mutual support and acceptance. Chapters have been set up across the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, among other places. The organisation also sells scoliosis-related books and merchandise, runs an international convention, and publishes educational resources for girls and families navigating bracing, physiotherapy and spinal fusion surgery. Curvy Girls Foundation, Inc. states that donations are tax deductible.
