About

Founded in 2007, Cycle for Survival is a non-profit organisation based in New York, United States working on medical research.

Cycle for Survival is the official rare cancer fundraising programme of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), a New York-based cancer centre. It raises money for rare cancer research and clinical trials at MSK, with 100% of funds raised going to that research. Since 2007 the programme has raised more than 400 million US dollars, supporting work in cancer diagnostics, new FDA-approved drugs and other discoveries at MSK. Each year, with founding partner Equinox, it hosts relay-style stationary-cycling events at Equinox clubs across the United States, typically from January to March, along with SoulCycle-branded rides, corporate and industry rides, and online fundraising pages. No cycling experience is required to take part. The programme was started in a single New York City cycling studio by Jennifer Goodman Linn, an MSK patient and Equinox member, and her husband Dave Linn. It is based in New York City and operates across the US.
