Design Luxembourg is a non-profit association and representative federation of designers in Luxembourg, founded in 1995. It brings together companies and independent designers from all design disciplines. Its mission is to promote, support and develop the design sector, and to raise awareness among public authorities and businesses of the economic, cultural and social value of design and the specific needs of design professions. Its work includes an annual programme of events, workshops, conferences and networking sessions, the Luxembourg Design Awards, the Luxembourg Design Festival, lobbying for the recognition of designers' status, and campaigning against unpaid competitions and abusive practices in the sector. It also maintains a directory of member designers and is a member of BEDA, the Bureau of European Design Associations. The organisation operates from the Design Hub in Hollerich, Luxembourg, which it helped create with the City of Luxembourg.
