The Deutsch-Französische Gesellschaft Duisburg e.V. is a non-profit association based in Duisburg, Germany, that promotes understanding between Germans and French people and knowledge of French culture and language. Its roots go back to 1950, when a cultural association was founded in Duisburg, and it merged with a local Franco-German association in 1951. The association states that it pursues exclusively non-profit purposes, mainly through the promotion of adult and civic education by teaching German and French culture. It is politically neutral. It has around 250 to 300 members, mostly private individuals with some corporate members in Germany and France. Its activities include lectures, conversation evenings, concerts, films, readings, French-language theatre, online meetings, a monthly Café français in Duisburg and Krefeld, and a Junge DFG for younger members. It also runs an annual French week, a French-teaching working group, and a public book box. It maintains a partnership with the Frankfurt/Oder Franco-German society and cooperates with Duisburg's cultural institutions and the twin city of Calais. The association publishes the Voilà newsletter and programme flyer.
