DIAKONEO is the cultural and mutual aid association of the Protestant evangelical church in the Lameilhé district of Castres, France. It promotes diaconal activities of a cultural, social and sports nature in line with Christian ethics. Its activities include events open to all, a theatre troupe, a choir, a monthly walking group, a food basket and food bank collection support, an annual meal and gifts for elders, a board game evening, a lending book collection, and financial help for youth outings. It also supports other associations, including a student-support association and a children's shelter. Its registered office is on rue Pierre Raynaud in Castres. Activities are open to all, are non-profit and apolitical, and beneficiaries need not be members.
