About
Founded in 1994, Divadlo Archa is a non-governmental organisation based in Praha 1, Czech Republic working on arts & culture, education, children & youth +1 more.
Divadlo Archa, o.p.s. is a public benefit company based in Prague that operates as a production house for contemporary performing arts. It has no permanent theatre company; instead it works with artists through co-productions, hosts international theatre, dance, music and performance, and runs residencies for young creators. Its programming crosses genre and geographic boundaries and includes its own projects reflecting current social issues. Through the Centre of Documentary and Socially Specific Theatre, the AKCENT festival and an international summer school, it develops documentary and socially engaged theatre practice. Since January 2024 it has been reorienting towards a multicultural media house focused on teenagers and young adults aged roughly 15 to 28. The organisation also rents its spaces and offers event production services.
