Društvo diabetikov Posavje-Brežice

Founded in 1985, Društvo diabetikov Posavje-Brežice is a non-profit association based in Brežice, Slovenia working on health.

Društvo diabetikov Posavje-Brežice is a diabetes association founded in 1985 and active in the Posavje region of Slovenia, covering the municipalities of Brežice, Krško and Sevnica. It informs members and the wider community about diabetes, its causes, consequences and treatment through lectures, workshops, health measurements, walking groups and exercise classes. The association organises an annual regional meeting of people with diabetes and health professionals, and takes part in national awareness campaigns such as the World Diabetes Day lighting of buildings in blue. It has held humanitarian status since 2005 and is a member of the Zveza društev diabetikov Slovenije (Association of Diabetes Societies of Slovenia).
