Društvo diabetikov Velenje is an association founded in 1987 in Velenje, Slovenia, that supports people living with diabetes. It organises expert lectures on diabetes, its complications, nutrition, physical activity and modern treatment, as well as peer exchange among members with a particular focus on younger patients. The association runs spa recovery stays that combine rest, movement and educational content, hiking, excursions, sports and recreation events, and regular member communication. It is a member of the Zveza društev diabetikov Slovenije and holds the status of a humanitarian organisation in health care and a non-governmental organisation in the public interest. Members can direct a share of their income tax to the association.
