Founded in 1996, Društvo za permakulturo Slovenije is a non-profit association based in Ljubljana-Šentvid, Slovenia working on environment & climate, education, community development +1 more.
Društvo za permakulturo Slovenije (DPS) is a Slovenian association founded in 1996 that brings together permaculture teachers, designers and activists. Its main activity is education on permaculture: it runs courses and workshops, including Permaculture Design Certificate courses and the online Permakultura 101 programme. It also helps schools create learning gardens, offers advice on sustainable farming systems, and organises community meetings and events. Beyond education, the association works to maintain the presence of permaculture in public space, for example through its permaculture centre at the AGRA agricultural fair in Gornja Radgona. Through EU-funded projects such as InclusiGardens and EmpowHer Permaculture, it works on urban gardening, social inclusion and the empowerment of women, in partnership with organisations in Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Greece and the Netherlands. The association is based in Ljubljana-Šentvid and serves members and the wider public in Slovenia.
