Društvo za želve Slovenije is a non-profit association based in Šmartno ob Dreti, Slovenia working on animal welfare, nature & wildlife conservation.

Non-profit association in Slovenia that rescues and rehomes abandoned, surrendered and found turtles, and advises owners on proper care. It also works to prevent the release of non-native turtles into the natural environment, which can harm native amphibians, fish and insects and the native European pond turtle. Its work is funded through donations and sales of turtle-themed figures, with proceeds used for turtle food, equipment and maintenance of its facilities. The association also presents turtles at exhibitions in Mozirski gaj park.
