Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop is a registered charity based in the Newhaven area of Edinburgh. It was set up in 1986 by sculptors, initially as an artist-run organisation. It runs a purpose-built centre at the Bill Scott Sculpture Centre and Creative Laboratories, providing subsidised studios, workshops, residencies and production spaces for artists, and funds artists directly to develop and show work. Its learning programme offers courses, tailored workshops, skills training and a schools programme, and a free public programme of talks, exhibitions, tours and open studios is available to visitors. The organisation also hosts community groups and runs a licensed café with MILK on site. It is governed by a board of charity trustees, including at least three artists.
