Fair Wisconsin Inc. is a statewide LGBTQ civil rights and political advocacy organisation based in Madison, Wisconsin. It works to advance, achieve and protect the civil rights of LGBTQ and transgender people in Wisconsin through lobbying, legislative advocacy, grassroots organising, coalition building and electoral involvement. Its campaigns have included expanding state nondiscrimination protections to gender identity and expression, ending conversion therapy, prohibiting the gay and transgender panic defence, and modernising HIV laws. The organisation is a 501 membership organisation with a statewide board of directors and full-time staff. It operates Fair Wisconsin PAC, which supports pro-fairness candidates and issues endorsements in state and local races, and it has a related education fund that works on public education, research and legal challenge preparation. Fair Wisconsin was founded in 1994 and merged with Equality Wisconsin in 2013. It is a member of the Equality Federation.
