Fathers Building Futures is an Albuquerque-based non-profit social enterprise founded in 2012 that supports formerly incarcerated fathers in rebuilding their lives emotionally, socially and financially. Led by professionals and peer mentors with lived experience, it provides reentry support beginning while clients are still incarcerated, including paid job training in a woodshop, curriculum-based employable employee training, life skills, parenting support and help with social documents. The organisation sells handcrafted wood products through its showroom and custom order service, with proceeds supporting its mission. It serves reentry citizens across New Mexico, aiming to strengthen families and break the cycle of parental incarceration.
