FemIn kolektiv

Founded in 2024, FemIn kolektiv is a non-profit association based in Požarevac, Serbia working on gender equality, human rights.

FemIn kolektiv is a feminist collective founded in Požarevac, Serbia, in 2024 in response to gender-based violence. It is described as the first feminist initiative in the Braničevo district. The collective works on preventing and supporting victims of gender-based violence, education, women's empowerment and advancing gender equality. Its activities include workshops, seminars, lectures, awareness campaigns, community spaces for dialogue and the exchange of experiences, and help with accessing free legal aid and mediation with institutions. Membership is free and members, who are volunteers, can take part in campaigns, event organisation, educational workshops and support for women who have survived violence. The collective also states its commitment to inclusion of marginalised groups, including LGBTQI people, ethnic minorities and people with disabilities, and to non-violent activism. It operates primarily in Serbian, with some content in English.
