Fondation Foujita

Founded in 2011, Fondation Foujita is a grant-making foundation based in Paris, France working on education, children & youth, arts & culture +1 more.

The Fondation Foujita is a sheltered foundation placed under the auspices of the Fondation Apprentis d'Auteuil. Created in 2011, it preserves and promotes the work and legacy of the Franco-Japanese painter Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, whose moral and economic rights were bequeathed to it by his widow Kimiyo in 2009. Using income from copyrights and donations, the foundation funds around one hundred artistic and cultural projects each year in France. These projects use artistic practice to support the education, training and social integration of young people and families facing school, social or family difficulties, often in partnership with Apprentis d'Auteuil centres. The foundation also runs an educational website, manages image licensing requests and organises exhibitions and cultural initiatives centred on Foujita's work.
