Forestry and Environmental Action

Founded in 2007, Forestry and Environmental Action is a non-governmental organisation based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina working on environment & climate, nature & wildlife conservation.

Forestry and Environmental Action (fea) is a non-governmental organisation with registered offices in Sarajevo and Belgrade. It works on environmental conservation, sustainable forestry, natural resource management, climate action and biodiversity across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and the wider Balkan and South East European region. Its work includes policy development and legislation support, advocacy with decision-makers, technical and field research, project design and management, non-formal environmental education and forest pedagogy, and stakeholder engagement and public awareness campaigns. It also supports national reporting under the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), engages with the Global Environment Facility (GEF) NGO network, and promotes gender equality in forestry and biodiversity governance. Its beneficiaries include local communities, government institutions, forest owners and young women and girls in forestry.
