The Fundación Víctor Jara is a non-profit foundation based in Santiago, Chile, founded in 1993 by Joan Jara and her daughters Manuela and Amanda. It works to preserve and promote the life, work and cultural heritage of the singer-songwriter Víctor Jara. Its activities include an open archive of materials, the reissue of records and publications, arts training and workshops for schools and social organisations, music events and a festival, and online content. The foundation also works on memory and human rights, including campaigning for the Estadio Víctor Jara to be recognised and developed as a site of memory. It supports young artists and community work, and runs a shop selling its products. Its work is aimed at the general public, schools, community groups and artists in Chile, with some reach abroad.
