It rescues dogs that have been abused, injured or abandoned, including from shelters and the streets, and pays for their veterinary treatment and upkeep in hotels and temporary foster homes. The foundation focuses on finding permanent adoptive homes for these dogs, with a particular focus on bull-type terriers and Amstaffs, and runs fundraising campaigns to cover care costs. It also campaigns against animal cruelty and abuse, promotes responsible dog ownership and sterilisation, and runs awareness activities. The foundation holds public benefit status (OPP) and accepts donations, 1.5% tax designations and volunteer help.
