The Gerontological Society of Slovenia is a non-governmental, humanitarian association based in Ljubljana. It works on ageing and older people's quality of life, combining knowledge from different disciplines to promote understanding of ageing, the rights of older people, intergenerational cooperation and lifelong learning. Its activities include dementia workshops, free information and counselling services, organised volunteering, advocacy for older people, publications and professional events such as conferences on ageing and addiction in later life. It also serves as a teaching base for several Slovenian faculties and schools.
