GOAL is an Irish international humanitarian organisation working with vulnerable communities in more than 60 countries, and in 14 countries across Africa, the Middle East and Latin America at present. It responds to humanitarian crises and provides food, water, medical care and shelter to families affected by conflict, poverty and disease. Its work includes Gaza and Sudan. GOAL also runs the GOAL Mile, an annual December fundraising event held across Ireland and virtually worldwide, in which participants walk or run a mile to raise funds for its programmes. The event is supported by headline sponsor AIB. GOAL is registered in Ireland as a company limited by guarantee and in the United Kingdom as a charity, and GOAL USA is registered in the US as a 501 not-for-profit organisation.
