Harapan Baru Lombok

Founded in 2016, Harapan Baru Lombok is a non-governmental organisation based in Desa Sesela, Gunung Sari, Indonesia working on disability, employment & skills, poverty & hunger +4 more.

Harapan Baru Lombok is the Indonesian foundation of the Harapan Baru partnership, working on Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara. It helps people with disabilities and people living in poverty find work and build self-reliance, mainly by supporting micro-enterprises through coaching, microloans, physiotherapy, medical aids and home visits. The foundation also develops villages through water projects, ecobrick buildings and youth initiatives, runs a Community Service Center in Lembah Sari, and provides emergency aid after natural disasters. It works with Harapan Baru Aalten Nederland, a Dutch foundation founded in 2016 that raises funds, promotes the work and handles donations. Together the two foundations were set up in 2016 to give disadvantaged people on Lombok the opportunity to shape their own futures.
