It aims to increase public acceptance of climate action among the broad middle of society, arguing for pragmatic, locally anchored, bottom-up measures that avoid polarisation and ideological mandates. Its work includes events and dialogue formats across German regions, research such as stakeholder surveys with farmers and experts, public communication, and projects such as LandPerspektiven and Deutsche Energie. It also acts as the German partner of the international organisation our common home, which is based in Geneva and supports civil society organisations in several countries. The association is funded largely through third-party grants from foundations and philanthropic donors, and it works with partners from civil society, agriculture, health and local government.
