Help Images is a non-profit association based in Lisbon, Portugal, set up in 2008 to raise social, civic and environmental awareness in communities. It produces media content such as documentaries, short films, animation, graphic lines and campaign spots for charities, NGOs and other not-for-profit organisations, helping them raise their profiles, leverage fundraising and increase volunteering. Its work covers topics including child rights, health awareness (such as anorexia and pediatric cancer), ocean literacy, sustainable development and the 2030 Agenda, human rights and social inclusion. Alongside production, it runs a social awareness film festival in schools, delivers training such as local reporter workshops, and works in partnership with public bodies and NGOs. Its projects have been filmed in Portugal, Mozambique, Cape Verde, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, India, East Timor, Germany and the UK, and it states that it has no geographic limitations. Its documentary The Heirs received an Award of Excellence and an Award of Merit at the Impact DOCS Awards in 2020.
