Helping Hand Clinic, Inc. is a volunteer-driven, community-funded free clinic in Sanford, North Carolina. Founded in 1993 by Dr. Marion Pate and community volunteers, the clinic began in a closet in another medical practice and now operates from a 2,800 sq ft building. Services are free to clients, and patients must complete a program application for medical visits. The clinic is funded by individual donors, local businesses, churches and the United Way, and holds a sustaining monthly donor programme.
