Herzen für eine Neue Welt e.V. is a charitable association based in Königstein, Germany. It supports children, especially orphans and half-orphans, and rural mountain communities in the Andean highlands of Peru through education, health care, nutrition, environmental protection and gender equality work. Its main project is the Munaychay children's village in the Chicón valley near Urubamba, which includes a school, a community centre and a medical centre with a dental practice. The association works in German-Peruvian teams and partners with the Peruvian association Corazones para Perú, which implements projects on the ground. Funding comes from donations, sponsorships, house sponsorships, fundraising campaigns and events, and it runs a volunteer programme. A related foundation, the Stiftung Herzen für eine neue Welt, supports the association's work from its endowment; it received the Stiftung des Jahres 2015 award from the State of Hesse. The association also runs a shop selling Peruvian handicrafts in Königstein.
