Hjernerådet

Founded in 2007, Hjernerådet is a non-profit network based in Oslo, Norway working on health, medical research.

Hjernerådet (the Norwegian Brain Council) is an umbrella organisation in Norway that brings together patient and user organisations and professional, research and clinical bodies working on brain diseases and brain health. It was founded in 2007 on the initiative of two neurology professors. Its work includes political lobbying and consultation responses to government on brain health policy, including the national brain health strategy, awareness activities and events, a magazine, a podcast, a brain health conference, and a research prize. It also acts as an application organisation for Stiftelsen Dam, which funds brain-related projects. Hjernerådet is an observer member of the European Brain Council and reports a membership of patient organisations and professional groups across Norway.
