It was established in 1992 as a Neighbourhood Network Scheme to support older people in Holbeck and later expanded to serve people of all ages and backgrounds. It provides services and activities including meal deliveries and lunch clubs, community transport and shopping trips, a Digital Hub offering digital support, one-to-one community support for vulnerable people, and family and children's activities such as Healthy Holidays. The charity works to reduce loneliness and isolation, support independent living and address deprivation in the area, relying on volunteers, donations and funding from grant-makers and partners. It operates from a central location in the Heart of Holbeck, in The Old Box Office building, and aims to make Holbeck one of the best places to live, work and play.
