Hunter Writers Centre is a non-profit association based in The Junction, Australia working on arts & culture, community development.

Hunter Writers Centre is a registered charity and not-for-profit incorporated association based in the Hunter region of New South Wales, Australia. It supports writers, storytellers and literary culture in the Hunter region and beyond through workshops, residencies, fellowships, community projects, exhibitions and national literary competitions, including the Newcastle Poetry Prize, Newcastle Short Story Award and The Grieve Project. It operates the Lighthouse Arts precinct on Whibayganba-Nobbys headland, and has a Disability and Inclusion Action Plan covering 2024 to 2027 to make its programs and spaces more accessible.
