About
Founded in 2016, iCare Housing is a charity based in Dublin, Ireland working on housing & homelessness.
iCare Housing CLG is an Irish registered charity, company limited by guarantee and approved housing body (AHB) based in St. Marys Abbey, Dublin 7. Established in late 2016 to deliver Mortgage to Rent solutions, it helps homeowners in mortgage arrears remain in their homes as social housing tenants. The organisation has since expanded into other forms of social and affordable housing, including new build and turnkey acquisitions delivered with local authorities and the Department of Housing under the CALF scheme. Its stated figures as of June 2025 are around 700 social homes owned and more than 1,700 people supported across Ireland, with homes in every local authority area. It also provides tenant services covering rent, repairs, budgeting support and rent reviews, and runs a complaints and data protection process. It is regulated by the Approved Housing Bodies Regulatory Authority and the Charities Regulator.
